WE ARE A DISTRICT RUN SCOUT CAMPSITE 7 KM FROM CALLANDER, LOCATED IN THE GROUNDS OF THE BEAUTIFUL INVERTROSSACHS ESTATE ON THE SOUTH SHORE OF LOCH VENACHAR.

THERE ARE 3 WOODLAND CAMPING AREAS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE ESTATE ROAD. TO THE NORTH THERE IS A CABIN, BOATSHEDS, TOILETS, SHOWER BLOCK, ACTIVITY AREA AND CAR PARK.

OUR LEASE ONLY ALLOWS SCOUT GROUPS, GUIDES AND SCHOOL DUKE OF EDINBURGH PRACTICE AND QUALIFYING EXPEDITIONS TO USE THE SITE.

East Burnside

East Burnside is located on the hillside, approximately 80 metres from the cabin car park. Max of 30 campers.
Has 3 altar fireplaces.
Larger groups of up to 60 can book both East & West Burnside.

West Burnside

East Burnside is located on the hillside, approximately 80 metres from the cabin car park. Max of 30 campers.
Has 3 altar fireplaces and a dining shelter.
Also includes the adjacent permanent bivouac
Larger groups of up to 60 can book both East & West Burnside.

Woodland Site (Ideal for DofE )

This site is a few minutes walk up a fairly steep path and is more suited to lightweight camping. Offers a sense of remoteness but with amenities close by.
Ideal for Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions.
Can accommodate up to 30 campers
1 fireplace, 1 dining shelter. Stream adjacent.
