St Patricks Day / Irish themed activity
Child friendly challenge game loosely based on the Guinness idea of Splitting the 'G'.

Resources

Sizeable floor area
Chalk or other materials for marking out.
Balls

OR
'Gold' coins (for Shove Halfpenny version)
Table

Instructions

(Option to explain Guinness is a drink from Ireland etc).
Approx. 3/4 down the room, mark a large 'G' on the floor with a line through the middle extending across the room.
Sixes / patrols line up at bottom end and take turns in rolling their ball to try and land on the line, splitting the 'G', to gain points.
Reduced accuracy target is getting the ball to stop in the 'G'.

Could also be a table top adaptation of shove halfpenny, using gold coins from the leprechaun's pot.
