Young people to have rucksack containing, drink, snack, own mini first aid kit, waterproofs, hat and torch
Appropriate clothing and footwear depending on location, conditions under foot.

Instructions

Route to be determined by leaders or by Scouts. Explores or Young Leader.
Distance to be determined according to ability of group
Refresher of country side code, and green cross code if appropriate, this can be discussed as a group or a Q & A type session before the hike begins.
Arrange a mid way stop for snacks and a drink and any first aid to feet.
Leader at front and leader at rear with whistle in case any problems you can alert the leader at the front.
