Description

Relay race

Resources

This is a relay race in patrols.

The patrols are given a few minutes to prep. They may like to think up some examples in this time, or plan a strategy.

To set up the game, the Scouts are at one end of the hall, in their patrols. At the other end of the room are Leaders or Young Leaders ready to receive the examples.

Once the game starts, one member of each patrol must run up to their designated leader. They need to adequately tell them a team they have been in, and their role in that team. This needs to be a different one from any of their patrol mates. Once the leader is satisfied they have articulated it, they run back and new patrol member repeats the exercise. They must go in order, none can go a second time until everyone of their patrol mates has been. They each need to go up three times.

Once each patrol member has been up three times, they have completed the game. They need to sit on the floor with their hands on their heads. The first patrol to do so is declared the winner.
