Description

Decorate strips of foam or cardboard to make a bracelet or band to go around a friend's wrist.

Resources

Card or foam strips for the band. You can even use slices of cardboard tubes to recycle.

Craft supplies to decorate - anything that will stick on or draw on the band

Glue, scissors if cutting strips, hole punch and ribbon if tying foam bands.

Instructions

Strips can be pre-cut and even pre-glued to make it an easier activity for Squirrels. Foam bracelets can be hole punched and ribbon tied through.

Children can decorate their bands however they wish. As a friendship activity they could then pass on the band to another member of the group or take it home to give to someone else.
