Craft - Turkey Headbands
Cut out the 4 pieces below (2 eyes, beak, feather)
Use the feather as a template to draw around and cut more feathers (3 or 4 feathers in total)
Cut two pieces of card stock roughly 2-inches wide by 8-inches long for the actual headband (not included on this page)
Stick the headband pieces together so they fit around your head
Stick the 2 eyes and beak to the front of the headband (see pic)
Stick your feathers to the back of the headband so they stick up (see pic)

Games
Traffic Yam (sweet potato)
Give each player a “raw yam (sweet potato)” and have them put it on the ground on one side of the room.

Players must race to get their “yam” from one side of the room to cross the line on the other side of the room and then get back to the starting line before the next person goes.

Players can only move the “yam” by pushing it with the spoon.

Yam and Spoon Race
Give each player a “raw yam (sweet potato)” and have them put it on their spoon and walk across the room and back holding the “yam” on their spoon (like an egg race).

If the “yam” falls on the ground, they must go back to the beginning and start over.

First team to have all their players cross the line with their “yam” safely in their spoon wins.

Reverse Yam and Spoon Race
Same as Yam and Spoon Race but make it even more difficult by making people walk backward!

First team to have all their players cross the line with their “yam” safely in their spoon wins.

Hut, Hut, Hoop
Bend over and hike (throw behind you between your legs) bean bags through a hoop, e.g. 15 feet away.

Each player has as many turns as there are bean bags.

Winner is the person/team that gets the most bean bags through the hoop.
