Does anyone know what a constellation is?
They are officially recognised patterns in the night sky that help astronomers divide the sky into sections.
There are 88 constellations – can see 56 from the UK, but not necessarily all year round

Resources

Images of constellations
Black card
Stars
Glue
Glitter/Metallic pens
Space-themed stickers

Instructions

Each Beaver to choose a constellation image from selection to make, e.g. zodiac sign or other popular constellation

Divide into 4 groups, take piece of black card and arrange star stickers to recreate image.

Draw lines between star stickers with glitter/metallic pen.

Decorate with other space theme stickers.
