Instructions

Prep
You will need to have access to an AI image generator. There are many available online, but the terms of use are continually changing. At the time of writing there are a few that are free but they require registration and limit the number of images that you can generate in one session/day.
if you use one of these you'll need to have created separate accounts to use for each YP doing the task. Alternately you can buy credits for the service you choose, but these aren't always cheap. A third alternative is to install an AI on a suitable machine, but that is a very technical route and not so easy to use with young people.
The easiest option is Copilot, from Microsoft. Setting up accounts is straight forward, but you'll need separate email addresses for each account. Ask your group's IT person if you need help with this.
Each account gets 15 credits, so you can pair them up and share the credits if needed.

The meeting plan is split into three stations, 15-20min each

Station 1

In a creative way of your choice, map out your regular digital actions, such as searches, clicks or posts.

Discuss with other young people the information you leave behind as a result of these digital actions, and whether that’s OK or not.

Station 2

Share three ways young people can respond positively when someone’s being unkind or dishonest, including telling an adult if someone’s making you feel uncomfortable.
Talk about the options available online to report people being unkind, and when you should use them.

Station 3
AI art - learning a new online service and generating a graphic

Cubs will be asked to make a prompt to give to the AI (co-pilot) to generate a graphic for a computer game, app, or website. This could be a background scene, character, or other image.
