Description

Children learn to recognise the flags of the 4 Home Nations, by running to side of room which is called out by leader.

Resources

Flags of 4 Home Nations, printed out on A4 paper (1 stuck to each wall of room)

Instructions

Leaders call out name of one of the Home Nations (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) akd children run to that side of the room which is 'represented' by that flag (attached to wall).


Can be used to reinforce to children that they have not just joined the BB in their own town, but that they have in fact joined an organisation that is represented in all 4 Home Nations, and indeed all over the world.


For an additional element, can be made an elimination-style activity where last to reach that side is eliminated (but not necessary)
