Instructions

Have two leaders ready who both know the rule- one is the example and one is Santa (the judge)
-Put all the Scouts into a circle.
-Take four Scouts outside from opposite sides of the circle (remember to take both adults so they both know the rule)
-Brief the Scouts on what the rule is for that round and then get them to return to the circle
-The example leader who is in on the rule sits in the circle and says "All I want for Christmas is..." following the rule
So if the rule is the objects must start with the first and last letters of your name. Beth Peters might say "All I want for Chistmas is a bike and PJ's"
-Santa then says "You may have those"
-If the Scout doesn't follow the rule Santa says "You may not have those"
-Play passes to the next player who needs to try and figure out the rule
-Once play gets back to the example leader ask the Scouts is anyone has worked out the rule (not those Scouts who you briefed)

Rules-
*First and last letters of your name (if you don't know their surnames you could just do one object and first names
*The first letter of the patrol they are in
*The number of objects for the years they have been in Scouting
*Only objects that only come in one colour (objects that are only blue)
*Objects that have the same number of letters as their names

I would say Santa has a list printed off OSM for some of these categories
