Resources

Black Paper - two 12 x 6 inch strips together to
make a long strip
Star stickers
Copy of the planets
Scissors
Yellow paper for the sun

Instructions

Solar system craft

1. Get the Brownies to colour and cut out the planets.
2. Using a half yellow circle, glue on to the left end for
the sun.
3. Glue the planets in order from the sun (left) to the
right.
4. Then add stars all over the black universe.
Brownies will love looking at
real pictures of the planets
online. Talk about the
colours of each planets.

A great way to remember the order of the planets is to learn this sentence:

“My Very excited mum just served us noodles”
My Mercury
Very Venus
Excited Earth
Mum Mars
Just Jupiter
Served Saturn
Us Uranus
Noodles Neptune
