Resources

Print out of pictures of conditions on the Moon.
Blank paper for designing the Moon base or copy of pages 2 and 3 of the adapted activity.
Materials to build the Moon base, paper, straws, plasticine etc

Instructions

Challenge the Guides to design a safe moon habitat. Show the pictures of the Moon / video from Moon Camp and ask them how the Moon is different from the Earth. (no atmosphere, dusty, cold….)
Guides can sketch their design then make their Moon shelter from material that would be similar to lunar material, using clay or plasticine for lunar soil.
