Description
This is one evening, covering 3 out of the 5 parts of the Environmental Conservation Activity Badge for Cubs.
The other 2 parts (projects) could be done in a separate evening as they may take a while to complete and/or need to be done outdoors.
The colours of bins used in the quiz are correct for the Fylde. You may wish to use different colours or rules in your area.

Attached resource sheet:
- Each six is given the quiz (1st and 2nd pages)
- The leader(s) keep the quiz answers (3rd page) and corners game (4th page)
- Each Cub gets a saving energy / water at home sheet (5th page) each
Instructions
Renewable energy: Split the pack into sixes, each with a leader / YL leading a conversation about a source of renewable energy.
Saving energy and water: Run the corners game with the corners resource page (correct answers are in bold). Talk about the correct answers after each round.
Recycling: In sixes, the Cubs complete the recycling quiz. Talk through the correct answers with them when they have finished.
End of meeting: Give each Cub the saving energy / water at home sheet to fill in over the next week. They should bring it back to the next meeting.
