Reverse Treasure Hunt Wide Game
Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
This is a team game (works for small numbers as well as large, but the more teams you have, the larger area you need) that works well at camps and in outdoor areas.
Resources
Compass, pad, pen, some "treasure" to hide.
Instructions
Each team is given a compass, some “Treasure”, a pad and pen.
Each team is set off in different directions, but from the exact same starting point.
Each team must create a set of instructions that lead to where they've hidden their treasure.
Once completed, the instructions are given to another team and THEY have to follow the instructions and find the treasure.
For example, Team A may write down “walk 40 paces north, then 12 paces east, then 6 paces north-west…the treasure is in a tree stump”. Team B are then given these instructions and asked to find the treasure.
The aim is to create clear and accurate directions. Each team only gets points if another team can follow their instructions and find their hidden treasure!
If a team finds the treasure – they get 50 points. Otherwise, nothing!
