Troop members vote to choose who is going to be selected as the scout of the year.

Resources

Paper, pen, pencil, Box or bag to put voting slips in.

Instructions

Explain that this is to chose the person who has conducted themselves best according to the Scout Law and Promise. Read these out as a reminder.
Explain that it's not about choosing your best friend or necessarily the person who has help win competitions.
Think about choice whilst waiting in line.

Ask YP to form a line 2m away from front of table where the votes will be placed.
Each person take it in turn to approach table and write their first and second choice on a piece of paper and put it into the bag/box.
YP cannot vote for themselves.
Section YLs and Adults get to vote too
10 points awarded for each first choice
5 points for each second choice
