How to make a fire from a paper bag

Small paper bag. Buckets of water - one per lodge. Marshmallows and bbq sticks - optional (as if!)

Instructions

Explain how to build a campfire starting with a paper bag filled with dried leaves, dry moss and small dry twigs. Lay it on the floor and demonstrate how you then lay dry twigs over it in a 'wigwam' shape. Explain how you strike a match safely & demonstrate. Split each lodge into 2 teams. Give one team a paper bag and send them off to fill it with dried leaves, dry moss and small dry twigs. Send the other team off to collect small dry twig no bigger than their two hands together. Each lodge then gets together to build their fire - supervised by a leader. Leaders then light the fire. If it's successful they get to toast marshmallows on it.
