The Lookwide Centre is a modern, brick headquarters which was built by the Scout Group & opened in 2002.
It has the following facilities available for hire. A large main hall, kitchen, toilet & shower facilities, leaders lounge, small bunkroom with 3 beds, Tables & Chairs for 70 persons, Disabled access & Disabled toilet, Indoor climbing wall, air rifle range (please contact prior for availability) & separate meeting room available upon request,

Business full day

Charity use hire

The Scout Group offers a reduced rate of hire for local charities wishing to use the centre for fundraising purposes. The centre may be booked for a half day or full day depending on availability.

Community support

Under certain circumstances & good causes the Scout Group may offer the premises on a free of charge basis. Please nore this is only reserved for exceptional circumstances only and acceptance of the booking is at our discretion.

District meeting

The Centre is available for use by the Hadrian District Scout Council & can be booked for a meeting or District activity.
The main hall may be booked or the separate meeting room.

Hexham Group Leaders

Indoor Air Rifle range

In the garage of our centre we operate an Indoor air rifle range which is run by qualified instructors. This facility is subject to instructor availability & only available to Scout Groups.

Indoor Climbing wall

Within our centre is a 5 metre high indoor climbing wall. Ideal for teaching basic climbing techniques. This facility is restricted to instructor availability. All Climbing equipment is provided. Scout Groups wishing to use the wall without one of our instructors, must have a leader holding a climbing permit.

Jack's Shelter

Built in loving memory of a former Scout & available to book by Hexham Group leaders for Camp fires & Woodfire cooking.

Maintenance

Periods when the Lookwide Centre is unavailable for hire due to essential maintenance work or Contractors are on site.

Meeting

Need somewhere to hold a meeting ? The Lookwide centre is an ideal venue. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. Our main hall can be used for large meetings or our extension for smaller ones.

Minibus

The Scout Group minibus is only available to be booked within the Scout Group by section Leaders

Overnight hire

Party hire

The Lookwide Centre provides an ideal venue for any birthday party. We have a large main hall with seating for up to 70 persons. The centre has full disabled access & toilet facilities as well as a kitchen for food preparation.

The Pizza Shack

Hexham's very own & unique Wood fired Pizza shack, built during the Covid Lockdown in 2019. The area features three wood fire ovens for cooking Pizza, bread etc . Available to book by Hexham Leaders for their section.
